The artist reads fragments of an English text that emerged from her four-month stay in Barcelona. These fragments, which are partly in itself a kind of recycling, or better a remix of well known refrains, reflect estrangement, the longing to belong, the life of the artist, the pressure of expectations, as well as being vulnerable in the public urban space.
The performance unfolds like a spontaneous dialogue between Ute Brönner and her curator, Bianca Galanzino, who reacts to some of the English passages of the text in her mother tongue Spanish. It becomes a layered dialogue which can be also read as a contibution to the complex theme of migration.

A small installation forms part of the performance and refers to a particular everyday practice
in Berlin: Zu-Verschenken-Boxen — boxes placed in the street with objects to give away,
circulating from hand to hand.
This gesture resonates with the site-specific installation 15 Céntimos por kilo, Los Chatarreros de
Barcelona, which portrays undocumented migrant workers who move through the city
collecting scrap in order to make a living.
Between these two references — giving and collecting, leaving and finding — a space opens for reflection on circulation, value and belonging.
